We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Parts Department Manager to lead our parts operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee inventory control, supplier relationships, procurement processes, and customer service to ensure seamless parts availability for our automotive service and repair departments. Your leadership will drive efficiency, optimize supply chain management, and uphold the highest standards of automotive parts management.

Duties:

• Manage daily operations of the parts department, including inventory control, order processing, and shipping & receiving activities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, sourcing options, and delivery schedules.
• Oversee procurement management using ERP systems and order management systems to ensure timely availability of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts.
• Implement demand planning strategies to forecast parts needs accurately and prevent stock shortages or overstock situations.
• Supervise warehouse management tasks including warehouse organization, equipment repair (such as forklifts), and adherence to safety protocols.
• Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for maintenance scheduling and equipment tracking.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting dealership technicians and service advisors with automotive diagnostics, parts recommendations, and technical support.
• Monitor inventory levels through data entry and inventory management systems like AS400 to optimize inventory control.
• Coordinate logistics for shipping & receiving, ensuring compliance with shipping standards and timely delivery of parts.
• Lead sourcing initiatives for automotive repair parts, HVAC components, auto body repair supplies, and other specialty items to support dealership operations.

Experience:

1. Proven experience in supply chain management within the automotive industry or a related manufacturing environment.
2. Strong background in supplier management, negotiation, procurement management, and demand planning.
3. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, OEM parts sourcing, ERP systems (such as AS400), and order management systems.
4. Knowledge of automotive service processes, auto body repair supplies, HVAC components, and auto repair equipment is highly desirable.
5. Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
