The Steet Ponte Auto Group was proud to be the Presenting Sponsor of the First Annual Putts for a Purpose Charity Golf Tournament, held on Friday, June 27th at Pine Hills Golf Club in Frankfort, NY. What began with a goal of raising $10,000 for local charities quickly turned into a huge community win—over $11,000 was raised during this incredible day on the course!
Organized by Scott and Kelly Grates, hosts of the Love Living Local 315 podcast, the tournament was designed to spotlight and support the heart of our community—local charities and small businesses that often fly under the radar but make a major impact. Love Living Local 315 has become a must-listen for anyone who wants to discover hidden gems and meaningful stories across the Mohawk Valley.
We were thrilled to not only sponsor this event but also to send a team of our own out to participate in the tournament. Representing the Steet Ponte Auto Group were:

One of the highlights of this tournament was that half of the funds raised—$5,500—will be donated to the MVHS Foundation, Children’s Miracle Network division, a cause very close to the Steet family’s heart. The Steet family has proudly supported the Children’s Miracle Network since 1989. This national nonprofit works to raise funds for local children’s hospitals to help provide critical treatments, equipment, and services to children in need—ensuring that kids across the region have access to the best possible care, close to home.
We extend our deepest thanks to Scott and Kelly Grates for organizing such a meaningful and well-executed event, and to everyone who came out to support the cause. We’re already looking forward to next year!

An integrated light bar in the front grille and black exterior elements further augment the exterior aesthetic.
The sport-centric design ethos continues inside. Stainless steel pedal caps offer a racecar-like feel, as do the sports comfort seats in the front. myVW comes as standard on all Jetta trims. This provides an array of information and convenience tools direct to your smartphone.
SE
The SE trim ups the functionality with an array of advanced features. Wireless App-Connect allows seamless integration of compatible devices with no need for a USB cable. Wireless device charging is also on offer, as is a three-month SiriusXM trial subscription. The SE also boasts convenience features like keyless access with push-button start and remote engine start.
SEL
The top-level SEL trim is all about luxury. Seating surfaces are adorned in leather, and the first and second rows of seats are heated. The steering wheel is also heated for assured driver comfort all year round. The stance of the vehicle is also more striking, thanks to the 18-inch machined alloy wheels.
Ambient interior lighting provides a refined feel to the cabin, which is only enhanced by the sunroof. Further luxury is on offer with the advanced infotainment setup. A configurable 10.25-inch VW Digital Cockpit Pro interface replaces the standard 8-inch display, and the system also includes navigation functionality.

The Steet Ponte Auto Group was proud to once again support one of our favorite community events—Wine in the Wilderness at the Utica Zoo! Held on a beautiful Saturday evening, June 7th, the event welcomed over 1,000 guests for a night of wine tasting, food, music, and wild animal encounters.
As the official Designated Driver Sponsor, we were thrilled to help promote safe and responsible fun by handing out $15 Uber gift cards to the first 100 attendees who pledged to be a designated driver. Helping guests get home safely is a mission we take seriously, and we’re proud to continue making that possible through events like this.
It was a perfect night at the Zoo—and the atmosphere was made even more exciting with the debut of their brand new dinosaur exhibit! The lifelike animatronic dinosaurs were a huge hit and are a must-see for kids and adults alike. You could buy the GTI, and honestly, you’d be thrilled. It’s a lively, front-wheel firecracker, a true driver’s car that begs to be pushed through corners. But if you want track-ready capability, the 2025 Volkswagen Golf R is where it’s at.
1. Track-Bred Power
The new Golf R is now rated at 328 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, a boost of 13 horsepower and 15 pound-feet over the outgoing model. VW has also included all-wheel drive with a rear-axle torque vectoring system that can distribute 100% of the rear torque to whichever wheel needs it most. That means razor-sharp turn-ins when carving twisty roads.
The stick-shift gearbox is gone for 2025, but the newly standard seven-speed dual-clutch more than makes up for it with lightning-fast shifts and paddle controls that keep you engaged. VW says the new Golf R will do zero to sixty in just 4.6 seconds, and if you tick the Performance Pack box, it’ll storm to 167 mph.
2. New Tech and Tweaks
On the outside, the 2025 Golf R sports updated headlights, an illuminated VW logo, a reworked front bumper, an adaptive front-lighting system, new 19-inch forged alloy wheels, a quad-tipped exhaust (Akrapovic titanium exhaust is available), and gloss-black side mirrors that project the ‘R’ logo on the ground when you unlock the doors.
Interior updates include updated sports seats, which now come dressed in a fresh black and blue combo. There’s also a new 12.9-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster with R-specific graphics, illuminated climate and volume controls, a new ventilated 15W wireless charging pad, and four fast-charging USB-C ports (two up front, two in the back).
3. Comfort and Convenience
That track-ready bully you see tearing up the corners? Turns out that it’s pretty chill when it’s not showing off. Thanks to the adaptive damping system and seven driving modes, the 2025 Golf R can dial things way down when you want it to. Out back, there’s a mid-size sedan-rivaling 19.9 cubic feet of configurable trunk space. If you need more room, drop the 60:40 split rear seats, and you’ve got up to 34.5 cubic feet.
The Golf R usually shows up fully loaded, so you’ve got plenty of nice features right from the start. You’ll find Nappa leather upholstery, heated and cooled front seats, heated rear side seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a head-up display, a Harman Kardon premium sound system, a panoramic sunroof, and all the advanced safety and driver-assist features you’d want for daily commuting.

1. Pro
The lineup begins with the Pro, a capable ID.4 powered by a rear-wheel drive propulsion system that produces 282 horsepower and achieves 291 miles on a single charge. VW’s compact SUV is a sleek-looking machine, with the Pro boasting 19-inch machined wheels, automatic LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and heated power-adjustable mirrors.
